The Scent of Rain

The Scent of Rain by Kristin Billerbeck is about Daphne Sweeten, who finds herself being stood up for her wedding as well as losing her sense of smell which her whole career was based upon as a scent designer. Her dream job was also no longer possible as her ex-fiancée took her dream job in Paris, but she still decides to move to Ohio where she had a job waiting which would have her developing scents for household products. When Kristin enters into this new job, a relationship begins with Jesse, the new boss of the company.

I liked this book, but it wasn’t my favorite book I have read so far this summer. I don’t know if I really connected with the characters, or if I could relate to them. I think it may be because they were at a different point in their lives than I am now.
